Two days ago I had my Sunday excursion at Zagreb Salon exhibition, I’d previously mentioned while blogging on Zbigniew Libera…
I saw some great domestic projects and I’m so glad that I got an opportunity to see several artworkz which were part of some international exhibitions in the season 2007/2008.

Parkour is a fascinating, relatively young, urban art form. It was founded by Frenchman David Belle, who wanted to combine elements of gymnastics, martial arts, climbing and athletics in one unique style. At the beginning Parkour was spread mostly by men, but lately you can see a lot of women practicing and combining it with dance.

Today I visited the first project within the framework of 43rd Zagreb Salon’s ‘Anti-Design / Permanent Alternatives’ exhibition, that deals with social responsibility of the author – curated by Silva Kalcic.
Exhibition by Zbigniew Libera ‘Correct Me if I’m Wrong’ in the ULUPUH gallery presents his classic works: LEGO Concentration Camp, Positives, 2002-2003 and video ‘How to train the girls‘.

Some of you maybe remember when I blogged about photographer Toso Dabac last year. Yeah, the one we call ‘our Henri Cartier Bresson’. It’s interesting how ‘small nations’ always need to refer to ‘bigger nations‘…
Anyway, several weeks ago the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb opened an exhibition with photographs by Duro Janekovic (1912-1989). He was Dabac’s fellow, but his work hasn’t been so far presented… As photojournalist Janekovic created amazing street photographs; and as athlete he had the great sense for dance and sport photography.

Obviously Brooklyn is very, very inspiring place to be… Coz when you put your fingers, eyes or mind on some art piece which has a label ‘Made in Brooklyn’, you can always expect something special.
Kief Davidson, feature film and documentary director, was born and raised in Brooklyn, very vivacious area of New York. Today, I’m gonna blog about his documentary ‘Kassim the Dream‘ that covers life story of African boxer Kassim The Dream Ouma.
