E-learning: African Dance for beginners, part 1

Summer could be a perfect time to learn some new skills and because Africa fascinates me so much, I thought that African Dance is perfect for hot days… We might talk for days about all ethnic forms of dance that exists on this continent  for centuries… I already covered in E-learning basics of Capoeira, dance form that is of African origin, too.

Hence, today we are starting with a new cycle which will cover African dance, more precisely Sub Saharan West African dance coming from the regions of Guinea… your guide will be dancer and choreographer from USA, Lanecia Radcliff aka Nkachika. She has studied mainly Sub Saharan West African dance coming from the regions of Guinea, Senegal, and Ivory Coast. Nkachika has also been a teacher to children and adults for the last several years, she took lessons for several years before eventually performing herself. Nkachika has performed as an independent contractor and with several professional West African dance troupes in the South Florida area. She has had the privilege of studying under Master West African dancers and drummers.
