Following my previous post on freestyle football, check William Linn’s device art work Bong (2009) based on retro computer games and their use in media art, as well as from the corporeality point of view. The concept is very interesting, especially in the context of comparability with Nintendo Wii Sports and similar iPhone & iPod & iPad applications.

It’s been a while since I haven’t blogged about sport in art context… Yeah, it was last year’s book review about Haruki Murakami’s ‘What I Talk About When I Talk About Running‘, right?! Well, since everything is about football now… I’ve made a Freestyle football video selection for this post… Frankly, I was inspired by some TV show I saw tonight after the game between Germany and Spain on World Cup 2010 South Africa…

Probably you’ve noticed that I’m slightly fascinated with Parkour. Therefore, I’ve decided to introduce you with a documentary ‘Jump Britain’ (2005) by Mike Christie, that covers the story of several free runners in UK.
Free Running is a sub-group free style of Parkour, and the term itself was coined during the filming of the film you are going to watch here, in order to introduce and get closer this street form to the public in England.
