Body cinema: Denis Darzacq Photographer

It’s time to start with presentations of dance photography and photographers on my blog… It’s been a long time since I blogged on Christopher Doyle, photographer inspired by dance in Asia… This time, I have picked up short documentary ‘Several inches above the asphalt’ on great French photographer Denis Darzacq to see his process of working…

The name of photographer Denis Darzacq became for gallerists and curators really a must have name, cause his photos got a lot of fairly deserved attention… Dancers in shops or urban streets flying around in ordinary clothes with unusual positions of their body parts…

E-learning: Hip Hop Dance Moves for Kids, part I

For cool kidz, cool online sessions of Hip Hop dance moves… online classes by Keith Fitzpatrick aka Kfitz are a little bit shorter in its length than you are used to see here… and it gives you more fragmented and detailed approach to a particular movement, what makes it a pretty cool additional material for teachers…

For Kfitz’s dance style people say that has an urban edge and a lyrical twist. He has choreographed for the Dove Awards and the CMT awards, and has also been featured in TV spots for Toyota, WSIX, etc.

E-learning: Learn Hip Hop Dance

OK, after you already learned how to break dance, we can move step forward. Basically, we are moving to the foundations of street style dance, and that’s Hip Hop dancing.

Hip Hop is the godfather of all street style dancing forms. It includes a wide range of styles such as popping, breaking, krumping and house dance; developed through many styles defined as old school hip hop, hype hip hop, free style, hip hop new style, funk style, etc.
