December 31, 2010

During recently held ‘Workshop with Choreographic Objects‘ under the guidance of Scott deLahunta, I had an opportunity to get an introduction of the project Whatever Dance Toolbox – WDT by the members of BADco., Ana Kreitmeyer and Tomislav Medak (check the video guidance bellow review).

Pocket cinema: Peter William Holden’s kinetic sculptures

June 21, 2009

Kinetic sculptures and robotics could be also perceived in perfomative aspect, not only as installations communicating within the object itself and the creator – sculptor, engineer, passionate geek.

Therefore, I’ve picked up Peter William Holden‘s installations and cinematix approach where he tend to re-interpret the space, objects, movements, music and choreography of ‘wired’ objects; making the idea of robotics pretty poetic.

Patrizia Dona and her wearable typewriter

April 7, 2009

Seeing Patrizia Dona’s fashionable and wearable writing accessories from the collection ‘Hommage a Remington’ in the series ‘Objects to wear’ have made an embellishing impact on me.

At first I just thought that she’s an Italian artists living in Amsterdam, but then I saw that she studied the History of Art and Ethnology in Zagreb, and later Fashion Design at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Anyway, she would get this review, even if she would be from cold Pluto, so let’s start.
