I’ve dug out few documentaries about composer and artist John Cage covering his life and music, I think most people would find highly recomendable… Needless to say in what amount Cage has influenced contemporary music scene, media art and, of course, modern dance.
… and these films are John Cage: I Have Nothing to Say and I Am Saying It (1990) by Allan Miller, Peter Greenway: ‘Four American Composers (1983) – John Cage, The Making of One11 by Henning Lohner (1992), Opus 20 Modern Masterworks: John Cage by Klaus Lindemann (2006) and John Cage: In Love with Another Sound (1992) by Miroslav Sebestik.
The film is in Spanish and English. It describes the beginning and community around one of the most intrigant and innovative piece of hardware for prototyping and DIY community around the globe – Arduino.
Processing the Signal (1989) is a documentary directed by Marcello Dantas about Video art covering many aspects of the medium: technology, the process, presentation, reception and audience, as well as the narrative aspects.

How Buildings Learn (1997) is a BCC documentary series made after the synonymous book by Stewart Brand from 1994.
Because I’m very fond to Buckminster Fuller and Frank O. Gehry’s shapes and lines, this documentary has given me a different perspective to the space and walls, we call architecture.
