The film features some of the leading artists of video and media art like Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, Kit Fitzgerald, John Sanborn, Paul Garrin, Zbigniew Rybczinski, to name a few.

Here is an excerpt from Nam June Paik’s TV program called ‘Good Morning Mr. Orwell’ (1984) featuring choreographer and dancer Merce Cunningham. Cunningham dances with satellite-delayed images of himself, overlaid with crawling text about George Orwell’s time in Spain.

Two Italian media artists – Lemeh42, joined their forces in 2005 with an aim to create video art and performance related multimedia artworkz / installations.
Lemeh42 create at the edges of all above mentioned media techniques within their visual procédé combining animation with regular video art meta-narration.

I saw Maria Kheirkhah‘s artwork ‘Dancing in the Village’ (a part of the ‘Portraits of a belly dancer’ explorations) two days ago at the exhibition L(..)king at Others in Art pavilion.
It’s a two channel video, actually a documentation of her performance from 2006 when she was listening on her iPod belly dance music performing belly dance in front of the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London.
