I find pretty cool to discover and follow young emerging artists and their development… you can see the narrative of their growing ups (and I find myself learning and growing up, too)… you can see the future…

Today, I’ve visited exhibition entitled ‘Creativity x 4’ at the ULUPUH Gallery with artworkz by four gradiate students on Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb: Petra Krpan, Marijana Tkalec, Danijela Bilic and Nikol Jakopic…
All girlz presented very mature pieces with complex textile architecture and plastic structures. I particularly liked works by Tkalec and Bilic.
Tkalec exhibited series of work in which she combine paper and plastic in a very simple way, getting interaction between luminosity and the play between objects and their shadows…

Bilic also ‘played’ a lot with plastic materials and sponge, but in such complicated and patient way, so the result was probably the most mature work, exploring the possibility of plastic ornamentation into wearable object.
