Martial arts and many forms of yoga are part of education in practically every dance school worldwide. Some forms are widely spread like yoga of which Hatha yoga is the most popular. The arena of martial arts is rather branched into subcategories based on different movements and philosophy; definitely a topic that deserves numerous blog posts.

Tao Yoga (Dao Yin) was created as physical embodiment of Taoist philosophy, and it was sort of a precursor of Qigong, Taiji Quan, Luohan Gong and Hatha Yoga. You can find pretty reliable resources and schools for all these disciplines online, but Tao Yoga was somehow for years kept in small groups of people. Recently, I’ve noticed video clips on YouTube which were uploaded by the Japanese Center for Tao Yoga, among them their class with DaoYin.
Instructor Yuko Kon will guide you through the set of 8 exercises… she is switching pretty smoothly between different positions and exercises…
