REFF Book, QR-Codes based publishing

December 12, 2010

Somewhere between the rows of the Art is Open Source project and FakePress are hiding the main suspects for launching the book ‘REFF RomaEuropa FakeFactory‘.

It’s a project that aims to combine the world of augmented reality, QR-codes, data visualization and the art of reading on your standard silicon devices (computer with cam) and ‘new born friendz’ such as iPad, iPhone or Android phone.

‘REFF RomaEuropa FakeFactory is a project started in 2008, confronting the themes of critical, active and creative innovation in the areas of cultural and technological policies. It has now become the first instance of a new form of publishing, edited as a co-production between FakePress and Derive&Approdi, between Augmented Reality, Ubiquitous Publishing, innovative and accessible interfaces, emergent narratives, infoaesthetics, and a new way to look at the world around us’

‘Remix the World! Reinvent Reality!’

Download REFF Book software here and explore the aspect of reading that could open different doors of publishing…
